Why I Love EBC

Meet Sam and April Sochia

We are fairly new to Emmanuel. We searched long and hard for a church where our whole family could find both spiritual growth and personal enjoyment. This was no easy task!

We found that the body at EBC values the joy of personal relationships, but at the same time refuses to compromise on the command for sound biblical teaching. Our family has been welcomed with open arms and warm hearts!   BUT, we know that those mouths that speak words of encouragement on the phone (and Facebook) throughout the week and love on our kids will also represent God in holding us accountable to the expectations of our Lord: to live a life of love and to grow in knowledge of the Word.

At EBC, we never feel like we are the only ones that God is continuing to grow, because everyone will agree (lead by Pastor Marc) that, by God’s grace, we are all a work in progress.  Such an attitude encourages people to become involved in ministries, share experiences or talents, and pray for each other. Our children are very excited about their bible study classes and ask throughout the week when we are going to be going to church again!  Our small group, women’s study, and men’s study that we attend challenge us to develop a deeper understanding of God and a more intimate relationship with Christ.

We love EBC because the people are real: they will laugh and cry with you, and enjoy some great food. We believe that there is great evidence to us that God is working at EBC, and we want to be a part of the exciting time ahead.
